Government Revision of History Debunked By KrisAnn Hall
This is a great article by KrisAnn Hall discussing the misinformation that is put out in our public schools. Many times what is being taught is very inaccurate or just out right wrong. We are constantly told we are a Democracy when we are a Representative Republic. It is said time and time again by politicians, news readers and many others. It is just wrong. This article about “Government Revision of History Debunked” by KrisAnn Hall at krisannhall.com is a great example. Please go there and read and support KrisAnn and JD!

Piston ARs are something that I have always like the idea of, especially as a left handed shooter. The ejection port on a Gas Impingement gun likes to spew gas into the face of such a shooter. With a piston driven gun this isn’t an issue unless you are shooting suppressed. (INCOMPLETE)
Corn season is here and that will probably cut into my podcasting time at least the preparation time. Podcasts may be shorter and lack some of the usual segments.

I finally took the opportunity to listen to Franklin Horton’s new book “Compound Fracture”. I have read or listened to all of Franklin’s books and this one does not disappoint.
All of Franklin Horton’s books take place in the same time frame. His original work was The “Borrowed World” series, there are currently 6 in that series and according to his Facebook Reader page book 7 is in the works.
“Compound Fracture” is the third book in the “Locker 9” series. The main premise behind the “Locker 9” Series is that the Primary character Robert Hardwick set up a locker for his daughter “Grace” in the same area she is attending college. Robert is a Post Apocalyptic fiction writer and because of his writing and fans he was able to create a network of people to help Grace get home in the event of something catastrophic happening. I recently mentioned “Locker 9” in my Caching episode.
So as to not give too much away I won’t go into detail about the book itself since I am afraid to give away too many spoilers. Also it is hard to write too much since without getting into detail on the other two books there would be little context.
I contacted Franklin and asked permission to play the sample from the Audible page. He graciously said yes.
This is the publishers Summary of “Compound Fracture”:
The long-awaited third installment in a series that has become a classic in family preparedness.
When Robert Hardwick’s daughter, Grace, was struggling to reach home because the nation was collapsing, he couldn’t wait. He went after her, finally finding her at one of the safe houses he’d arranged along her route home, a friend’s survival compound in the mountains of northern Georgia.
A chance encounter at the compound gave Grace the opportunity to hitch a ride home in a chopper while Robert chose to wait for an injured friend to heal up. Before he could begin his own journey home, the compound came under siege from a corrupt congressman and his private army, determined to take the property for themselves.
In a bid to save the compound and reach his family, Robert comes up with a bold and dangerous plan that just might deter the invading army, if it doesn’t get him killed first.
If you haven’t read any of Franklin’s books you should! He is a really down to earth guy who has a 9-5 job like the rest of us. Franklin has also graciously offered to give away all three audio books to my listeners! Please comment on this post for a chance to win!!! I will give them away two weeks after this posting!
